1. Information you give us directly
- Newsletter subscriptions — your email address and IP address (the IP is stored to control spam signups). Stored in our own database; never sold.
- Contact form submissions — name, email, subject, message and IP. Used to reply to you.
2. Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type, device type, OS, referring URL, pages visited, time on site.
- Cookies and similar storage (see "Cookies & third-party services" below).
Why we collect it
- To send the newsletter you asked for.
- To reply to messages you send via the contact form.
- To understand which posts work and improve the site.
- To show relevant advertising (display ads only).
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and spam.

Your rights
- Access / correction / deletion — write to us via the contact form and we'll respond within 30 days.
- Newsletter — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We delete unsubscribed records on request.
- EU/UK (GDPR) — lawful basis: consent (analytics, ads, newsletter) or legitimate interest (security, abuse prevention). You can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
- California (CCPA / CPRA) — we do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, write to us via the contact form.
Data retention
- Newsletter records: until you unsubscribe.
- Contact messages: 24 months, then deleted.
- Analytics: Google Analytics default retention (currently 14 months).
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We update this policy when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
